The town of Sarnath...

is a famous Buddhist center, where the Buddha first taught about enlightment. The Dalai Lama often resides here, when he's not in Dharamsala or traveling. Many westerners go to Sarnath for prayer and meditation, and to be with the Dalai Lama.
