Travel to India by air |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Travel to India can be either cheap or comfortable. You can get a ticket on Korean Air lines for about $1,000.00, round trip, open return (from San Francisco). I think the seating is crowded and the meals are bad. But, the price is low. |

Or,
you can get a ticket on Cathay Pacific or Singapor Air for about $1,300.00,
round trip, open return (from San Francisco). The seating is more comfortable
and the meals are great.

Travel to Allahabad from Delhi |

Travel by train, bus, or plane. The night train from Delhi is the best economical way to get to the mela. It leaves at about 9pm and arrives by 7am the next morning. I rate it comfortable and not too expensive. The bus is also about 12 hours and not nearly as comfortable. Not recomended. ut a little expensive. |

Best way to go to the mela. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Book your ticket to fly through Kathmandu, Nepal and then you can fly to Varanasi from there. Then take a private taxi to the mela. This is the easy way to enter India, without going through a major city. I rate this as a little more expensive airfare, but the least impact on your nerves (Delhi can be hell). |
